Dale Calkins Design Fund
Professor Dale E. Calkins was a champion of student design projects. During his twenty-year career at the University of Washington he ensured that hundreds of mechanical engineerng students graduated with practiced hands-on experience in design. To honor the memory and contributions of Professor Dale E. Calkins and to ensure that the work he started is carried on, his family, friends, students and the Department of Mechanical Engineering have established the Dale Calkins Design Fund. The fund will support projects such as the SAE Formula Car and Senior Design Projects. These projects were very important to Professor Calkins and significantly enhance the quality of undergraduate education in mechanical engineering.Contributions may be sent to:
