Undergraduate and Graduate Academic Counselor
Margo Segimoto joined the ME staff as Academic Counselor for the Student Services Office. Ms. Segimoto, a Seattle native, has over five years experience in educational planning and community liaison service in secondary and post secondary settings.She was a Learning Specialist for the Seattle Community College District, North Campus. Margo counseled and instructed in the Upward Bound program, a federally funded program supporting low-income, under represented youth.
Prior to that, Ms. Segimoto was a Communication Disorder Specialist Assistant and Transition Specialist for the Bellevue and Mercer Island School Districts. She was instrumental in the curriculum design and program development of an innovative program assisting students with specific learning disabilities, transition to college.
Margo completed her bachelor of science (B.S.) degree from UW and earned her master of education degree (M.Ed.) in Student Development Administration from Seattle University.
