Three New Staff Members Join Department

The Department welcomed three new staff members this year. Terri Trimble filled the position of Word Processor in April, Sondra Quintana joined the Department in August as an Office Assistant, and George Andexler became Electronic Technician in September. Ms. Trimble attended high school in Mukilteo and obtained her college education at the UW and at World College West in Petaluma, California. She lived in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, as part of her undergraduate studies in intercultural arts, learning to weave traditional textiles in a remote village in the Sierra Madre range. Before joining ME she worked for nearly four years as a secretary in the UW Capital Projects Office. She lives on Capitol Hill and enjoys travel, cooking, and fiction writing. Ms. Quintana assists Fiscal Specialist Sue Chen with shipping and receiving, travel, record keeping, textbook ordering, and database management. Ms. Quintana is new to the Seattle area, having recently moved here from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She attended Santa Fe Northern Community College and worked at various offices of the State of New Mexico prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining ME, Mr. Andexler was Electronics Technician in the UW Electrical Engineering Department for nine years. Mr. Andexler has an electronics degree from Phoenix Junior College. He is married with two children, and has lived in Seattle for twenty years. |
