Biography

Dr. Wang's principle research is in the area of optical MEMS, fiberoptic sensors, and biomedical instrumentation and he is currently an adjunct research associate professor in the EE department. His recent research has been devoted to developing novel polymer micro sensors and actuators for biomedical application. More recently, his work has been expanded to 3-D metamaterial, electromagnetic and electroactive polymer material study. He is currently a member of SPIE and IEEE. He is also a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Optomechatronics and the Sensors & Transducers Journal and serves in the program committees for International Society of Optomechatronics conference and SPIE Smart Structures and Materials and Nondestructive Evaluation and Health Monitoring since 2003
