If you are unable to complete all application requirements by the April 5th deadline, or all of the enrollment requirements by the time you intend to enroll in ME at UW for autumn quarter, you must obtain permission to apply from the department by completing the following form.

The 2024 College of Engineering admission application will open in late March but you can notify us about your conditional request now. Submit the online conditional application request form prior to completing your engineering application to allow time for your request to be reviewed. Be prepared to provide the following information:
- The missing course(s)
- Where and when the course will be taken
- Your contact information and UW ID number, if available
- Transcripts
- (optional) Information on why you may not have been able to meet the application requirements or enrollment requirements
If approved, students may apply for admission by the April 5th deadline and may be offered conditional admission.
To help you benchmark, common exceptions include semester to quarter physics completions, chemistry sequencing and missing a single quarter, completion of AA 210 by Spring with ME 230 and CEE 220 by summer. Less common exceptions include inability to complete AA 210 and ME 230 by Autumn.
